Emma Leister, MS, RDN, LDN
Registered Dietitian
She/Her/Hers

Emma is an anti-diet, Health at Every Size-aligned dietitian. She believes that all foods are morally equivalent, all foods have nutrition, and bodies of all shapes and sizes deserve high quality and non-stigmatizing healthcare.
Emma went to Penn State where she earned an undergraduate degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, and she received her masters in Clinical Nutrition at The University of Wisconsin-Madison. She made her way back to the east coast to start her dietetics career in Philadelphia as an Outpatient/Community Dietitian Prior to entering private practice. Emma works with a wide range of clients, including people with eating disorders, people looking to break free from diet culture, parents who want to improve their families’ relationships to food and nutrition, and people with diabetes who want to manage their blood sugars without diet restrictions.
Beyond individual client sessions, Emma is an advocate for equity in healthcare. She believes in Health at Every Size as a social justice movement. She is an ally of the LGBTQ+ community, and she acknowledges that at the root of diet culture is racism, along with healthism, ableism, and transphobia. She works to understand the complexity of health, and she helps people to manage their health in a way that feels right for them.
Emma will work with you to mute the noise of diet culture, learn to listen to your body’s individual needs, and make peace with food and your body.
