Beginning therapy can be scary, and I will assist you in finding what kind of support will be most helpful for you or your family member. I strive to build a trusting relationship with every individual I work with that helps facilitate growth and change. We all have different parts of ourselves, some we embrace and some parts we feel ashamed of at times. I believe that no part is bad and all parts are welcome. Everyone experiences difficulties throughout their life and we will work together to identify your strengths, heal emotional wounds, and develop effective coping strategies.
I do my best work with pre-teens, teens, and adults experiencing eating disorders, depression, self-harm, suicidal ideation, anxiety, grief, and/or gender dysphoria. As a Therapist and Yoga Teacher, I value the mind body connection and the ways it impacts our overall wellbeing. I believe that laughter can be healing and use humor when appropriate. I provide LGBTQ+ affirming care and practice from a HAES and weight inclusive lens. I have an eclectic approach, drawing on concepts from Internal Family Systems Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution-Focused Therapy. I aim to help individuals build a healthy relationship with both their mind and their body.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Pennsylvania. I received my Masters in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania and a B.S. in Psychology from Ursinus College. I am a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor and a 200-Hour Yoga Alliance Certified Yoga Teacher. I have 6+ years of experience working in both outpatient and inpatient levels of care, crisis hotlines & programs, and in schools.
