Got Questions?

We’ve Got You.

What should I wear?

Wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy—clay has a way of showing up everywhere (in a good way). You’re welcome to bring an apron if you like, but no need to be fancy.

Do I need to bring anything?

Just yourself! All supplies are provided and included in the cost. If you have favorite pottery tools you’d like to use, feel free to bring them—but we’ve got everything you’ll need.

What kind of clay are we using?

We’ll be working with air dry clay and acrylic paint—no kilns or complicated processes required. You'll leave with your finished sculpture by the end of Week 3.

Do I need any art experience?

Absolutely not. This space is for beginners, creatives, and recovering perfectionists alike. The goal is expression, not precision. Come as you are—we mean it.

Is this a therapy group?

Nope! While the experience can be healing, this is not a therapy group. It’s a creative rebellion—a place to play, connect, and smash diet culture with a handful of clay.

Meet your Guide:

Dana Snook is the co-founder of Beyond and a proud diet culture dropout. A seasoned dietitian and body liberation advocate, Dana found her way to pottery during her own journey of self-discovery—and hasn’t looked back since.

When she’s not supporting clients, you’ll find her in the studio with clay-covered hands, deep in the joyful mess of creation. Known for her whimsical and heartfelt animal sculptures, Dana brings warmth, humor, and honesty to everything she makes.

Through clay, Dana has confronted her own perfectionism, grown her patience, and learned to let go, one lump of earth at a time. Now, she’s bringing those lessons into a bold new offering: a space where body liberation and creativity meet.

In Dana’s world, there’s no “right” shape—just real ones.
